International Women’s Day has been observed since the early 1900’s.   It is a celebration of life, of choice, of commitment and growth.   On March 10, 2012 we recognize the value of all women everywhere and the contributions made in creating a brighter, more expansive world where all people are recognized as equals.

The new millennium has borne witness to significant changes in both women’s attitudes as well as society’s thoughts regarding our roles, equality and freedoms.   Women now, more than ever hold important key roles in business, government, medicine and education to name a few.   Amazing women from all walks of life show up every day and support family, friends, progress and change.

Awareness on a global level that there is still work to do to create a balance in our society, is key to implementing needed change and evolution.

Annually on March 8, thousands of events are held worldwide to inspire women and celebrate achievements.   Here in the United States the whole month of March has been designated as “Women’s History Month.”  Let’s make a difference by acting locally and affecting globally!
