The Path takes KC Miller to Japan

HSouthwest Institute of Healing Arts is doing just that, and helping others do the same.  This time, KC’s path is taking her from her home in Arizona and the desert Southwestern United States all the way to the East Asian island nation of Japan.

KC is traveling to Japan with her husband, Dr. Brian Miller, in connection with Toe Reading and her book about it.  A while back I had the opportunity to put together a video featuring KC and her Toe Reading.  Here is an update to that interview with KC answering a few questions about her trip.

ML: Why are you going to Japan?  What will you be doing?

KC Miller: My book, ‘Toe Reading: Are You Walking Your Destined Path?’ has been translated into Japanese and recently released in Japan.  I am going to Japan to meet the publisher, promote the book, do magazine and TV interviews, as well as teach a 4-day workshop retreat and teach 30 people in Japan to be Toe Readers.

About 2 1/2 years ago Mihoko Knight took a Toe Reading class from me. She was so impressed and impassioned that after class she came up and asked me if she could translate my book into Japanese. In a quick blink, I said ‘sure’ and never gave it another thought.  As it turned out, Mihoko is an international interpreter, having traveled to every continent and country in the world doing translation. One of her dear friends of twenty years had a contact in the publishing business in Japan and after multiple conversations the two women convinced a
publisher to take on the project.

Over the last six months I have done a series of six interviews with well-known and respected entertainment celebrities and people of high influence in Japan’s metaphysical community. The interviews were published in high-end glossy magazine called Anemore.

One of the sets of toes (belonging to people in Japan that I read via Skype) was for a Mr. and Mrs. Yamakawa, a couple who were the original Japanese translators for Shirley MacLaine’s book ‘Out on a Limb’ ~ an autobiographical book written by the American film actress in 1983. It details MacLaine’s journeys through new-age spirituality. In the United States the book received both acclaim and criticism for its candor in dealing with such topics as reincarnation, meditation, mediumship (trance-channelling), and even unidentified flying objects. ‘Out on a Limb’ was adapted for television in 1987. In Japan, the book was a best-seller and opened the doors for people to publicly acknowledge their interest and belief in metaphysics.  Shirley MacLaine book ‘Out on a Limb’ was my first introduction to metaphysics and so could be said to be the door through which I entered my path that evidentially lead to the opening of SWIHA.

During the Online reading of the woman’s toes, I had a surreal experience during which a brand new piece of information about Toe Reading came through me.  At first the information appeared off path, then I realized it was really on path due to the nature of the Sacred Agreement that is revealed during Toe Reading.  At the time I was giving the reading, I didn’t fully understand what I was saying. The message that Mrs. Yamakawa got was so profound that not only did she and her husband endorse my book and allow their picture to be printed on the cover, but the printing of the book was actually delayed because the publisher wanted them to write about their experience as the last chapter in the book. I have no idea what it says ~ and haven’t pushed to know ~ I am just trusting in faith it’s all perfect.

The Yamakawa’s are among our sponsors for the trip and are hosting a reception for my husband and I at the Traditional Japanese Tea Garden when we arrive in Tokyo.

ML: What will you ultimately accomplish there?

KC Miller: The goal is to position the book and get further endorsements. The four-day workshop will be held in Nasushiobara ~ a city famous for its hot springs! A great healer named Ms Akiko Kyogoku is living there she will be among those attending the workshop. No pressure there. : )

ML: What are you leaving here when you go?

KC Miller: I am leaving SWIHA in the capable hands to the management team at SWIHA. We have reached a point where the day-to-day operations of the school do not depend on me. SWIHA is no longer KC Miller ~ it is a self-sustaining private college administered by professional leadership. This trip will allow me to create space for my growth and the growth of SWIHA.

We also leave behind our two beloved pets ~ Sam and Hannah.

ML: When do you return and what will you bring back with you?

KC Miller: We will return in two weeks and I feel like our lives will be forever changed for three reasons:

1. We will have been in contact with some of the greatest healers in Japan.  There is part of me that is very nervous ~ the greater part of me realized I am stepping into a big piece of my destiny.

2. My spiritual practice right now is ‘A Search for Stillness’ ~ I feel this trip will hold huge answers in that search.

3. Traveling this long as a couple ~ needing to fully support and comfort one another will be a journey in and of itself. My husband finally read my book for the first time, took the Toe Reading class and has been doing Toe Reading under a tutor for the last two weeks to bring
himself up to speed to be my backup for Toe Readings while in Japan. Our relationship will be undoubtedly transformed as well.

ML: How will you move forward with what you have accomplished and brought
back from this trip?

KC Miller: For sure there will be lots of good stories, blogs, maybe a book ~ the goal is to be ‘Spiritually Reliable’ and show up for whatever Spirit puts in my path.

Thank you KC for sharing your insights and your heart.  More good news; we just learned that  7000 Japanese-language copies of “Toe Reading: Are You Walking Your Destined Path?” have been printed in preparation for her trip.

KC, many blessings and much joy to you from the vast web of people who love and support you as you travel your Path over the next two weeks!
