Are you a Life Coach and you don’t know it?

Do you know someone who seems to be a magnet for individuals who are dealing with difficult life events and need someone to talk with? I have a friend who often receives phone calls from people who are dealing with challenges in their lives and are looking for some perspective. These calls often come from complete strangers, referred to him by friends and extended family members, mostly because he has faced adversarial life situations with grace, introspection and patience, and has blasted through the other side a better, more balanced person.

He gets calls from people who say they have simply been told he is a great person to talk with. Really what he has is the gift of being able to listen to a person’s problem without passing judgement and communicating his observations in a way that will empower that person to seek the answer within themselves. He in turn gives his time and energy sincerely and freely, satisfied solely in the knowledge that he has helped someone through a tough spot with the insight he offers.

Once or twice I have suggested that what he is doing is Life Coaching and lightly suggested he might explore the information about the Life Coaching Training Program at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. My friend already has a deep, intuitive base for supporting and encouraging individuals who are seeking clarity in their lives, and challenging them to find the answers within. For someone who intrinsically has a gift for assisting others transform their lives, becoming certified through the Life Coaching Training Program at SWIHA could be a natural next step.

For the rest of us, whether it would be to begin a new career of just get clear on our own personal values and life mission, attending a Life Coaching weekend at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts is a valuable investment we can make on ourselves.
