“When Work Works” – SWIHA Receives the Sloan Award

It’s official – 26 recipients were awarded the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Award this morning, November 2, 2011.  Each of them have distingished themselves as leading practitioners of workplace flexibility in Arizona and across the nation.  The Arizona award ceremony was held at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona this morning, hosted by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.

The Sloan Awards are unique for their rigorous, two-step selection process, which involves an evaluation of employers’ flexibility programs and practices, and a confidential employee survey.  Terri Kimble, President and CEO of Chandler Chamber of Commerce says:

The Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Of Excellence in Workplace Flexibility are part of When Work Works, a national project to educate the business community on the value of workplace effectiveness and flexibility.  It is an ongoing initiative of Families and Work Institute (FWI) first funded by the Alfred P.
